Baidu Has Launched A Blockchain Platform For dApps
This news is huge. Like, everyone else can stop what they’re doing, close their business and go on vacation. China is here and it’s a massive announcement. On the other hand, the competition will be enormous – and it’s always for the better.
Baidu – a Chinese search giant (and it’s A giant, even Google has no chance) – has launched a blockchain-powered platform to simplify the development of dApps for commercial use. The platform – or, rather, an ecosystem – is called the Baidu Blockchain Engine (BBE) and it deploys AI, Big Data and cloud computing.
Moreover, the platform could perform a blockchain-as-a-service function, which makes it even more powerful. The service allows support for different scenarios, including consortium and private chains. And to kill it off completely, BBE supports such finance features as credit, metering, and transactions.
Well, Western world, it’s up to you to strike back. The challenge is here, so man up and go for it!
