As Cryptocurrency Market Keeps Sucking Hard in 2018, Pantera’s Venture is 60% Up

Pantera Capital, a cryptocurrency investment firm based out of California, recently announced that while the market is in deep-deep dive, the venture capital is up and running.

As it was mentioned in their letter to investors, the fund is nearly 60% up from Q1 to Q3. Of course, they didn’t forget to mention that all the key players in the market aren’t doing as great (to put it mildly). For instance, Bitcoin is 53.3% down, and Bitwise Index 10 is 61% percent down from Q1 to Q3. They also said that this growth was achieved “without the roller coaster ride and additional grey hairs… not to mention the decreased likelihood of errant trades based on short-term emotions”.  Well, good for them.

In general, VC investments in blockchain startups started in 2018 and quickly gained its popularity.

Some of the most well-known investments in Pantera’s portfolio include – Bakkt, a network to enable you to buy, sell, store and spend digital assets simply, safely and efficiently and Blockfolio –  the world’s most popular mobile app for cryptocurrency portfolio tracking and management and many others.
